Maryland Fire Service Leaders-

I hope this finds you well. I wanted to reach out and let everyone know that the application period for the SAFER Tuition Assistance & Reimbursement Program period for the Summer 2017 and Fall 2017 semesters is NOW OPEN.

Attached you will find all the documents required for anyone to submit- an application, an affidavit, and a contract. You will also find a guidelines and policy PDF that should answer all the questions anyone has about the program and how to apply.

The MSFA Leadership and SAFER Oversight Committee has put a lot of time and effort into making this part of the grant a success and we need your help. PLEASE take a moment to share with your distribution lists, local and county association presidents and officers, or anyone you feel would benefit from this program.

It is our goal to be able to assist as many individuals from across the state representing different jurisdictions and local departments as we possibly can. This is a statewide grant and everyone should have the opportunity to benefit!

Applications must be received by me (Tyler@UCVFD.Org) by March 1st, with decision notifications mailed around March 31st and payment checks cut around April 15th.

Should you or anyone you reach out to have any questions- please contact me at your convenience and I will do all I can to assist.

Thanks for all you do to make the Maryland Fire Service a great place to be involved and an extra thank you in advance for your assistance getting this message out for the benefit of our membership across Maryland.

Stay Safe!
