By Coordinator/Public Information Officer William Smith
November 6, 2018

The Potomac Heights Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad Inc. regrets to announce the passing of another department legend. Charles "Charlie" Wills passed away at 11:15 this morning. Charlie is a Past EMS Chief, Past President and Life Member of our department. Charlie has 64 years of active service to the community. Charlie also held numerous positions at the county and state level. He was also one of the most well known EMT instructors ever. A funeral with full fire department honors will be planned and we will announce those arrangements once they are available. This is an absolutely heartbreaking loss to the members of our department, however we will continue to push forward and provide the best care possible to our community, just as Charlie taught us how to.
