Passing of Past Deputy Fire Chief Paul Purcell

The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department regrets to announce the non-line of duty death of Past Deputy Chief Paul “PP” Purcell on Friday, February 01, 2019, following an extended battle with cancer.

Past Deputy Chief Purcell served the citizens of Charles County for 14 years, serving in many capacities, including Deputy Chief, Fire Station 12 from 2014-2015. Paul also retired from the Washington Metropolitan Airports Authority Fire & Rescue Department (L3217) following a distinguished career.

Please keep Paul, his immediate family, and his Fire & EMS family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Additional information regarding funeral arrangements will be forthcoming.

**Update - Funeral Arrangements**
The viewing will be held Tuesday February 12th from 4pm to 8pm hrs at:
Redland Baptist Church

Deerwood, MD 20855

The Funeral Services will be Wednesday February 13th at 11:00am at the same address

The Internment to include a gravesite Last Alarm Service will be at:

After the internment a Celebration of Paul's life will be at:
