House Fire in Waldorf Keeps 35 Volunteers Busy

1:20 p.m. today, 911 center received a call for a "reported house on fire" in the 1600 blk of Boarman Court in the Bannister Section of Waldorf. CCSO o/s reports "smoke showing with one female occupant with burns to her hands". E-33 with 6 volunteers reported on the scene confirming smoke and stretched a hose line into the dwelling finding a "kitchen fire". Within minutes, E-33 reports fire in out, needing equipment necessary for ventilation. Command (U12 Sutter) requested Truck #1 to the scene for ventilation assisting E-121 and E-33, remaining units to "stage".....EMS provided treatment for the injured occupant who refused transport, Command scaled the incident back to E-33, E-121, Truck #1. Fire Marshal's Office notified
