Afternoon Extrication Brings Fire/EMS to Leonardtown Road and Route #488

At 3:43 this afternoon Charles County Fire and EMS departments responded to a reported "auto accident with entrapment" at Route #488 and Route #5. County Fire Chief Kaufmann arrived immediately from dispatch, established "command" confirming a two vehicle accident with one pinned inside. Waldorf Squad #3 arrived, removed the door where the patient was located. BC3A (Mills) arrived with other units from La Plata, Hughesville and four EMS crews. All patients were evaluated by EMS, one transported to PGGH Trauma via MSP Trooper #2, and five patients transported to local hospital, non-life threatening injures...
