Charles County High School Fire Rescue Cadets Participate in SKILLSUSA

February 1, 2025: 8 of our high school cadets traveled over to Calvert County to represent Charles County in the annual SKILLSUSA challenge competition. All 8 cadets did very well competing against the Calvert and St. Mary's county cadet programs. The results are as follows:
FIREFIGHTING COMPETITION Cadet Josh Gilroy - 2nd Place Silver and moves on the state competition Cadet Zack Binger - 5th Place Overall
EMS COMPETITION Cadet San Luis / Cadet Bowling - 4th Place Overall Cadet Galdamez / Cadet Hughes - 5th Place Overall Cadet Hairston / Cadet McGuigan - 9th Place Overall
We want to congratulate all cadets for their hard work, preparation, and dedication representing our Fire/EMS cadet program. In addition, we thank our Recruiter Chris Schaefer and EMT Instructor Missi Erslev for working with these cadets in preparation of the contests.
