Just before 9:00 PM, our 911 Center received a call from a passer-by saying they "see flames" coming from a commercial building in the 12500 blk of Crain Highway. The "commercial building fire" assignment was immediately dispatched bring 53 Fire/EMS personnel to the scene. In minutes, E143 arrived on scene, reporting a large trash/rubbish fire burning near a 20'x30' vacant building. Chief 14A (Smith) arrived, established "command", E143 getting control of the outside fire assisted by E102 and Truck #28. The vacant structure was searched, negative findings with minor extension in the roof area. Office of the State Fire Marshal was called to the scene and is under investigation. SMECO was notified, no injuries were reported. Units cleared in under 2 hours
