Shed Fire in Cobb Island Community with Occupant Severe Burns

Just after 3:30 PM, Cobb Island and surrounding departments responded to Cuckold Creek Road for a reported "detached shed fire" and the occupant has severe leg and feet burns. Chief 14A (Smith) arrived to confirm shed was fully involved and a brush fire was spreading throughout the property. Occupant was located to the side of the shed, PA14, A68 providing patient care and requested Aviation transport to the regional burn center. Three additional brush trucks were added to the call. E61, E143, began extinguishing the fire, Chief 10A had "operations" assigning units as they arrived. Units were extinguished the brush fire, shed fire proved negative, all Fire/EMS units cleared in two hours. No additional injuries reported, Fire Marshals Office was notified, SMECO on scene. Forestry Dozer was called to assist as well.
